Yorkshire Academy of Creative Arts & Dance offers a wide variety of creative arts and dance opportunities for children and young people. If you are an education provider or community setting with ambitious and talented young people then we can support you!

Education

EARLY YEARS

Our Early years creative arts sessions are designed to provide children the opportunity to explore their own natural abilities through an imaginative and creative process. Workshops in creative arts are specifically designed to promote personal development and motor skills.

PRIMARY EDUCATION

Our workshops in dance, creative arts and drama, offer a range of effective strategies that respond to the strengths of the pupils. As well as, support the creation of original and innovative ideas for performance by scaffolding task led exercise’s, which aim to develop children and young people’s creative and performance skills.

SECONDARY EDUCATION

Our workshop build performativity, speaking and listening skills as well as focusing on specific practitiners and their techniques. We have a variety of workshops available to compliment and work alongside both Drama, GCSE dance and BTEC performing arts modules. Our workshops can be booked as a one off workshop or on a project basis.

FURTHER EDUCATION

Our workshops in choreography and contemporary dance technique, offer a tailor made workshop that suits the needs of the class to ensure a positive and fulfilling engagement. The workshops allow students to develop tools for generating movement material, building performance confidence and skills through movement tasks. All workshops start with an inclusive warm up/ dance technique class.

Access Workshops

Creative Dance A variety of different dance workshops are available including, Street, Hip Hop, Break Dance, Contemporary, Classical Ballet and Creative Choreography	Performing Arts The class allows participants to develop creativity, imagination, public speaking, self-confidence and self-esteem through various workshops in acting, singing and dance.	Drumming Drumming workshops specifically focus on developing participants creative, social and communication skills as well as stimulating concentration and raising self-confidence in children and young people.
Movie Making Our movie making workshops allow children and young people to think creatively and work outside of the box as they learn to capture the perfect moment.	Arts & Craft Our Arts & Craft workshops will give children the chance to use a range of materials creatively to design and make a variety of purposeful products. The products produced may be from construction materials, textiles or ingredients for baking.	Drama The Class offers a fun and creative approach to promote learning and development in children. Our drama workshops use exciting and innovative drama games and activities.
Singing Singing workshops will give children the opportunity to explore and broaden their vocal ability, while learning a variety of songs from different genres. As a result children will develop a love for music and increase their self-confidence, creativity and feel a sense of achievement when performing.	Applied Art Our Applied Art workshops will engage and inpsire children, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art. They will be able to produce creative work and explore their ideas through drawing and painting and other art specific techniques.
